1.📧 Perplexity Moves Into Your Inbox

Perplexity isn’t just answering questions. It’s stepping into your inbox.
Their new Email Assistant for Max users plugs into Gmail and Outlook, learns your tone, drafts replies, organizes messages, and even books meetings. You can ask it to flag priorities or summarize long threads in seconds.
Built with SOC 2 and GDPR compliance, they’re making a point: your data won’t be used to train their AI.
This isn’t a side feature. It’s Perplexity taking on one of the most time-consuming parts of modern work.

2.🛑 ChatGPT Puts Guardrails on Teen Use

ChatGPT is rolling out new guardrails for teens.
It will no longer talk about suicide or self-harm with users under 18, even in creative writing mode. An age-prediction system will automatically route minors to a restricted version of the AI.
If a teen shows serious suicidal ideation, ChatGPT could try reaching their parents first—and if that fails, alert authorities.
This isn’t just moderation. It’s OpenAI moving to hard-limit how young users interact with AI.

3.🤖 OpenAI Is Quietly Testing Autonomous Agents

OpenAI might be quietly testing a new wave of ChatGPT agents.
Logs briefly showed systems powered by alpha models with features like prompt expansion and truncation—hinting that ChatGPT could soon browse, use tools, and complete tasks on its own without constant instructions.
The sightings vanished quickly, suggesting it’s still internal. But if true, this could push ChatGPT from assistant to full-on autonomous agent.
Would smarter, self-directed AI make you use it more or trust it less?
